e981c41b47 Allow pathlib.Path in Image.open on Python 2.7 
Although the pathlib backport for Python 2.7 may be deprecated:
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pathlib/
It is still used by many projects. Therefore, changing to a
Try/Except pattern for checking for pathlib is not any more
obtrusive that the current >= Python 3.4 check and allows users
to use the backport without issue.

824a0c232c BF: fix conversion of bit images to numpy arrays 
Numpy cannot form arrays from bits.  To convert bit images to numpy,
convert bits to bytes.

From suggestion by Alexander Karpinsky, with thanks.

Fixes gh-350.

4bc75e4088 RF: try finding tkinter in Python rather than C 
Use imported module to find tkinter.  Should find tkinter module for all
available versions of PyPy that have tkinter compiled, as well as
CPython.

8b572ade81 Found edge cases with custom qtables 
And there was a lingering bug since the previous qtable unsigned char fix
(#1814) since the call to array.array was in another place, the roundtrip was no
longer equivalent.

That was a minor change, but the revised test wouldn't pass because saving an image
with one custom qtable automatically adds a second to it by the call to
jpeg_set_defaults.
With 1 or >2 custom tables, there is extra work we have to do due to that call.
